Mumineen Vs. Raiders @ Margate

With Mumineen having a full side this time and winning the toss, they decided to bat first. The batting started out strong with Aseef and Fazal putting on 30 runs with the opening partnership in just above 4 overs. But as Fazal was bowled for 9, wickets fell for very small partnerships. Eventually, Mumineen were bowled out for 94 in 21.5 Overs. Aseef, Shaheed and Quadir were the only batsmen to reach double digits as the other batsmen found it hard to score and forcefully played loose shots. The combo bowling of Naresh and Reginal Prahalad were dominant with bow;ing 10 overs for 27 runs and 7 wickets.

Aseef Amin - 19

R.Prahald - 5 2 10 3
R.Rai - 5 0 17 4
P. Balbachan - 4 0 9 1

Mumineen, in reply, struck very fast knowing they needed to attack the Raiders batsmen early because of the low score total. With the first ball in the innings, Quadir bowled a short delivery to Naresh that was pulled to deep square leg and was caught at the boundary by Javed Lall. This brought Mumineen confidence. That confidence quickly went away as Moonie and Ray Busgith put on 83 runs together. Raiders went on winning the game by 7 wickets with 10 overs to spare.

M. Pooran - 37
R. Busgith - 38

Q. Basheerulla - 5 0 21 1
A. Amin - 5 0 30 1

Mumineen Vs. President @ Southridge 2

It wasn't a great start to the day for cricket as clouds were setup for rain. Heading to Southride Park in Miami, the rain fell. Mumineen only were able to get 8 players to play in the game, so the odds were against them even more against President. With Javed Lall spinning the Toss against the President captain, Amar Singh, he won it, and Mumineen decided to have a bat first. Opening the batting was new member Zahid and Udesh. They had a incredible start with 18 runs off the first over. They had a 71 run partnership in 9 overs until Udesh was bowled by Sunil Singh for 13. Wickets started to tumble as Mumineen fell 73/3. Shaheed came in and batted out the innings with Zahid with an 80 run partnership. Mumineen came out with the score 153/3 after 25 Overs. Zahid led the side with a brilliant 63 not out during a very rainy session of cricket. There were 5 breaks taken with the rain.

Zahid Lall - 63*
Shaheed Lall - 30*

S. Singh - 4 2 13 2
O. Narine - 5 0 30 1

As Mumineen came out to defend their runs, they quickly found out how hard it was bowling with the wet ball from the field as Quadir's first ball was a very loose delivery that was hit for 4. He later picked up a wicket in his fifth ball in the over, bowling Samuel Omadat for 5. In the 2nd over another batsman was bowled by Udesh this time. President were quickly 10/2. With 2 wickets down, President started getting the singles through the large gaps left in the field because of the short Mumineen side. In the seventh over, Quadir was bowling and was hit with consecutive boundaries by Shawn Riley. As Quadir saw him charging down the pitch on four deliveries in a row, he bowled a delivery wide on the leg stump and a stump appeal was given. Not out was the call by the third umpire, but the Mumineen side and even the supporters for the President side saw it was a bad call as the batsmen was out by a bats length. The batsman was getting ready to walk, but the third umpire had seen something different from what everyone else saw. This call lead to most of the Mumineen players loosing concentration in the game that they were very much still in. Although there was a big controversy on that call, the game still went on. Shawn Riley and Sunil Dyal quickly added a 104 run partnership as the spin bowlers came into the attack. Dyal was bowled by Shaheed making it 106/3, but it was after just 12 overs. Sean Riley and Azam Ali closed out the ininngs with 42 Run Partnership in just 4 overs. President won the game by 7 wickets. Man of the match was Shawn Riley scoring 95 not out.

Shawn Riley 95*
Sunil Dyal 37

Q. Basheerulla - 5 0 40 1
U. Lakram - 5 0 39 1
